Sümeyye Erdoğan Bayraktar

Sumeyye Erdogan Bayraktar was born in Istanbul in 1985. After completing Kadıköy Foreign Language intensive Imam Hatip High School, she completed her university education at Department of Political Studies in Indiana University. After completing her undergraduate programme, she received Arabic education at Jordan University and completed her master’s degree on NGOs and Development at London School of Economics, Department of Social Policy. She worked as an expert in the Statistical, Economic and Social Training and Research Center (SESRIC) affiliated to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Ankara. She voluntarily worked as political counsellor of her father Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who was the Prime Minister of that period, and the AK Party general counsellor. Currently, she still continues to work as Vice-President of Women and Democracy Association and Foundation in establishment of which she took part in 2013. Bayraktar is married and is mother of one daughter.
