KADEM responded to heinous attack intended Sümeyye Erdoğan

Women and Democracy Association responded to heinous attack and the campaign to discredit Sümeyye Erdoğan. A great number of social media users attended to campaign targeted heinous attack that was responded via social media. A wide range of social media users from politicians to civil society organizations, from artists to academicians and businessmen reacted to perception management about Erdoğan with a snowballing reaction.

KADEM made a statement about this honourless attack via twitter;

“Inappropriate news are made about Sümeyye Erdoğan either on the media or on social media. The content of the news and comments showed that their owners are lack of ethical values. Our response to these senseless people and inappropriate news; immorality, inability, weakness, improbity and hate crime. KADEM supporting women’s human rights is going to apply all kinds of legal actions in return to the attack intended our board member Sümeyye Erdoğan.

KADEM will never give up its struggle against that kinds of immoralities, violence and hate crimes.”

After KADEM’s statement, the hashtag #biliniz was created. Hundreds of people tweeted about the issue and helped to bring up the issue to the agenda.

KADEM shared with the public that legal process will be started about deputy of CHP Mahmut Tanal, actor Orhan Aydın and also Today’s Zaman which reported and circulated this issue as a news in order to make a campaign to discredit Sümeyye Erdoğan without investigation.
