KADEM stood ready at Tarsus Courthouse on 9 September as on 12 June to follow Özgecan Case.

Women and Democracy Association stood ready at Tarsus Courthouse on 9 September with KADEM representatives from 11 provinces, members from different provinces and lawyer’s team who follow the case in order to articulate its demands for Özgecan Case, to stand by Özgecan’s family and to say stop to femicides.

KADEM members gathered in front of Tarsus Courthouse from the wee hours and rearticulated their demands about Özgecan Case with posters, placards and slogans. They reexpressed their demands about struggling with violence against women and also meet with Özgecan’s uncle Yaşasın Aslan.

Details of the case has been released to the public via social media by the lawyers who follow the trial and General President of KADEM Sare Aydın Yılmaz made a statement to the press about the issue.
