KADEM in New York for the 80th UN General Assembly

Our Chairwoman, Attorney Dr. Canan Sarı, attended the program “Better Together: Global Solidarity Rooted in the Family” held under the auspices of the Ministry of Family and Social Services of the Republic of Türkiye and with the participation of First Lady Emine Erdoğan, within the framework of the 80th United Nations General Assembly.

The program, which brought together international figures from diverse fields ranging from civil society to politics, and from academia to business, addressed the importance of the family in preserving generations and culture, as well as its role in building social peace, prosperity, and justice. The program emphasized that a secure future is only possible with strong families.

“Anadoludakiler” Exhibition

Our delegation also attended the exhibition “Anadoludakiler: Treasures Behind the Doors of Anatolia” at the New York Türkevi, organized within the scope of the Anadoludakiler Project carried out under the auspices of First Lady Emine Erdoğan and coordinated by the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye.

The exhibition, which introduced the abundance of Anatolia, its culinary culture, and the craftsmanship shaped by women’s handiwork to the world, also highlighted our shared vision for a sustainable future.

Meetings with Civil Society and the Business World

As part of the New York program, our Chairwoman, Attorney Dr. Canan Sarı, together with our senior managers, also attended meetings organized by following non-governmental organizations:

TASC (Turkish American National Steering Committee)
ASKON (Anatolian Lions Businessmen’s Association)
TABA-AmCham (Turkish American Business Association / American Chamber of Commerce in Türkiye)

The discussions focused on opportunities for cooperation between civil society and the business world, joint initiatives on a global scale, and increasing the visibility of women-related efforts in the international arena. We believe these engagements will strengthen KADEM’s women-centered work and enhance its international impact.
