Our delegation, in New York for the 70th session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women, continues to meet with representatives of international organizations. In this context, we held discussions with representatives from Family Watch International and the Sterling Foundation.
During the meeting, we shared our foundation’s work and field experience in advancing women’s empowerment. Particular focus was given to our Support Centers for Women, highlighting practices that enhance women’s access to social, legal, and psychological support services.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to exchange views on Family Watch International’s policy advocacy at the United Nations, its efforts in strengthening diplomatic capacity, and its international coalition networks. Potential areas for collaboration aimed at increasing civil society’s contribution to global decision-making processes were also explored.
In addition, possible partnerships in the fields of family policy and international advocacy were discussed. The parties agreed to maintain dialogue and cooperation to help expand the reach of effective practices that support women’s empowerment through international collaboration.
