KADEM attended in the European Conference on Politics and Gender, held in Newcastle, United Kingdom, from 15–17 June 2026. The conference brought together academics and researchers from around the world to discuss current issues in politics, gender, and social justice.
The participation of KADEM Chairperson Attorney Dr. Canan Sarı further strengthened KADEM’s presence at the conference and provided an opportunity to share its academic contributions on an international platform.
As part of the conference program, Dr. Ravza Altuntaş, Associate Professor and Section Editor of the KADEM Journal of Women’s Studies, presented her paper titled “Unveiling Kyriarchy: Misyar Marriage in Post-Migration Istanbul.” Researcher Derya Azer Karaağaç also shared her study, “Selective Solidarities: Muslim and Ukrainian Women in Europe’s Securitisation Politics,” with participants.
KADEM remains committed to enhancing the visibility of scholarly work in the fields of women’s rights, social justice, and women’s studies, while fostering international academic collaboration.
