Together with our Chairwoman, Attorney Dr. Canan Sarı, we took part in programs held in New York during the United Nations General Assembly Week, where strong messages were conveyed on both the protection of cultural heritage and sustainable development.
In this context, we visited the exhibition “Revive the Spirit of Mosul” organized by UNESCO. UNESCO’s reconstruction efforts in Mosul demonstrate how the preservation of cultural heritage goes hand in hand with education, social life, and a culture of peace.
As an institution accredited by UNESCO in the field of intangible cultural heritage, we carry out projects both in Türkiye and internationally. While we develop initiatives that highlight the traces of women’s art in daily life in our country, we also work on programs that support women in Syria as they rebuild their lives.

With the belief that “carrying hope into the future begins with preserving the traces of the past,” we see the safeguarding of cultural heritage as one of the most essential paths to peace and solidarity.
Another major focus of the UN General Assembly Week was the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The 17 SDGs, which provide a shared roadmap for addressing poverty, inequality, the climate crisis, and injustice, were emphasized through installations and messages at the UN headquarters. This year’s message was particularly meaningful:

“Compassion will pave the way to achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.”
We continue to align our projects—designed to empower women and youth both locally and globally—with the spirit of the SDGs. Our aim is to make the creative power of women’s art, intertwined with the traces of everyday life, more visible and to leave a lasting impact on social memory.
Because we believe in a future where no one is left behind!
