We hosted a meaningful gathering in New York during the 70th Session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women. At a special iftar held at Türkevi, Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, our Chair of the Board, Atty. Dr. Canan Sarı, and our delegation came together with women leaders, civil society representatives, and volunteers.
Our foundation’s traditional “Let’s Connect, Empower and Grow” gathering brought together women from different countries to share experiences, build new collaborations, and discuss a shared vision for the future. The event provided a warm and sincere setting that strengthened global solidarity among women.
As part of the program, our Board Member Zeynep Temizer Atalar led a psychodrama workshop on self-compassion for women, aiming to raise awareness about both individual and collective empowerment.
The iftar program, hosted by KADEM, once again highlighted the power of solidarity by bringing women from different regions of the world together around the same table.
We remain committed to strengthening international cooperation and expanding solidarity networks to help build a future where women can live safely and with dignity.
