In order to support Özgecan’s family, who has been slayed about 4 months ago, and demand justice for these kind of issues, we went to Mersin on June 13^th 2015 and we were attacked by other NGOs in front of the court.

Sare Aydın Yılmaz, president of KADEM and members entered the area at the wee hours and shouted slogans for fair trial and legal regulations for femicides. When they wanted to make a statement to press, they narrowly escaped a lynching attempt.

We declare that we will continue to follow Özgecan trial and will make a denunciation for this attack intended to us.
