Capacity-Building Training for Civil Society Organizations Project

In the project conducted under the Republic of Turkey Istanbul Provincial Associations Directorate Grant Scheme, training was provided for capacity building of civil society organizations that work with women. During the five-month training under the project, study topics were aimed at improving competencies of participants related to funding sources, project preparation, implementation and lobbying, enabling them to benefit from national and international grant schemes, develop their skills for effecting decision-makers and ensure that women take active and effective roles in the solution of social problems.

This project was executed in partnership with the Istanbul Provincial Associations Directorate. Representatives of approximately 20 non-governmental organizations working on women’s and family issues attended the Project Writing and Implementation, Lobbying and Advocacy Training, which took place two days a week. At the end of the project, participants presented their projects and carried out lobbying activities.
