IF JERUSALEM IS NOT FREE, THEN THE WORLD IS CAPTIVE

The world has been witnessing yet another Israel attack for days now, which have literally become a part of routine schedule…

While Israel continues its systematic occupation policy by usurping the homes of Palestinian people in Sheikh Jarrah district, the raid attempt by fanatic groups to Al-Aqsa Mosque under the name of “Unity Day” was repelled by Jerusalem’s Muslims, who fought shoulder to shoulder, men and women side by side, by risking their lives.

Hundreds of Palestinian people got injured during this resistance.

Having levelled its fury at Gaza, Israel added another round to its bloody massacres which make up its history. Missiles that hit Gaza killed 53 civilians, 14 of whom were babies and children and injured more than 320 Palestinian people.

When Bosnian Muslims were being butchered in the middle of Europe, Alija Izzetbegovic, the wise king, noted that a forgotten genocide was doomed to be repeated”.

When we look at Jerusalem and Gaza today, we see that not only the forgotten massacres and genocides but also those that are not accounted for are also liable to repeating themselves.

Deir Yassin, Sabra and Shatila, Qana, Cenin, Gaza, Cast Lead, Mavi Marmara, Pillar of Cloud, Shuja’iyya, Western Bank, and hundreds of other bloody attacks that are too many to count here.

Thousands of innocent babies, children, women and men who perished before the very eyes of the world…

The state of terrorism, Israel, completely ignores international law and human rights and hits families having a picnic and children playing ball on the beach with its missiles, and targets healthcare professionals with its snipers. The biggest culprit behind these heedless actions of Israel is surely the international community who fails to call Israel to account for these massacres and never-ending occupation.

The only thing that would protect Palestinian people against the state terrorism is the action that an honorable humanity would take.

It should be remembered that staying silent is the same as participating in persecution.

In light of the foregoing, we are asking all Non-governmental Organizations and states around the world to unite against the issue of “Israel”, which continues to grow amidst the Middle East with the support of the USA, and to call Israel to account for each and every single massacre committed by it so far.
