The heart of the entrepreneurial world beat at the Take Off Istanbul Startup Summit, held at the Istanbul Fair Center on December 11-12. Entrepreneurs from KADEM’s Women in Innovation program also participated in the event and won awards for their projects.
A Major Event with International Participation
The Take Off Startup Summit hosted 125 investors from 25 countries and 250 technology startups from 23 countries. The event provided visitors with the opportunity to experience various products at the booths of entrepreneurs, stakeholders, and sponsors, listen to inspiring speakers, and meet many prominent figures. A total of 15,000 technology and startup enthusiasts attended this remarkable event.
KADEM, with its Women in Innovation entrepreneurship program, which has been running for 8 terms and enables women to turn their entrepreneurial dreams into reality, participated in this prestigious event. With KADEM’s support, the women who have developed their ventures showcased their work at the Women in Innovation booth and had the chance to share the details of their projects with visitors.
Entrepreneurial Women Recognized with Awards
The award ceremony, held during this year’s event, attracted great attention with numerous local and international startups participating. Many awards were given in different categories, and entrepreneurs from KADEM’s Women in Innovation program stood out with their projects. Gizem Uysal, one of the 8th term Women in Innovation entrepreneurs, won the 10,000-dollar innovation award from Kuwait Turkish for her Helios venture, which develops carbon capture technology.
Best Women’s Entrepreneurship Awards
During the summit, two separate ventures from KADEM’s Women in Innovation program were awarded in the Best Women’s Entrepreneurship category. Polen Koçak and Merve Yıldırım won with their Cellestetix Biotechnology venture, while Sultan Gül received an award for her Microhobist Biotechnology venture.
