KADEM YOUTH AT THE ISLAMIC COOPERATION YOUTH FORUM

The 5th General Assembly Meeting of the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF), attended by ministers from 56 member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), took place in Istanbul on February 9-10. KADEM YOUTH participated as a special invitee in the two-day forum.

The meeting, attended by Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak, received a video message from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. In his message, President Erdoğan stated, ‘Today, we closely follow the activities conducted by the Islamic Youth Forum for Muslim youth across a wide geography from Asia to Africa, from America to the Arabian Peninsula.

Youth and Sports Minister Osman Aşkın Bak, drawing attention to their collaborative projects with the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum, stated in his speech, ‘We wish to invite our youth within the framework of the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum to participate in joint efforts, and we desire to be with them. This is your country. It is crucial for our young people to engage in cultural activities with each other.

In addition, discussions were held regarding collaboration requests received by the KADEM Youth during the forum. Members and volunteers informed visitors about the youth activities conducted within the KADEM Youth structure at the Youth Forum.

KADEM Youth members and volunteers also briefed visitors on field activities drawing attention to the recent genocide in Palestine.

At the forum where President Taha Ayhan was re-elected, young participants from various countries had the opportunity to meet and engage in discussions about their ongoing projects over the course of two days.
