Press conference of Vodafone Istanbul Marathon the 37th which Women and Democracy Association is social responsibility partner has been held.
İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Göksel Gümüşdağ, General Director of İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality Sport Inc. İsmail Özbayraktar, President of Turkish Athletic Federation Fatih Çintimar, Vice President of Vodafone Turkey Ender Buruk and General President of KADEM Assistant Professor Doctor E. Sare Aydın Yılmaz have participated in the meeting held at Sepetçiler Summer Palace.
General President of KADEM Sare Aydın Yılmaz notified that Vodafone İstanbul Marathon is going to be run with the theme “stop violence against women” this year. Yılmaz, as social responsibility partner of the Marathon, explained KADEM’s activities about violence against women and introduced the campaign “You Talk, too and Run, too to Violence against Women”.
General Director of İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality Sport Inc. İsmail Özbayraktar emphasized that the practice of Green Marathon will continue and said that “in return to a symbolic donation, we will give chance to participants to have a tree. With the instruction of İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Kadir Topbaş, we are going to run with the theme “stop violence against women” this year. Advertises will be orange-colored and we are going to try to create awareness”.
