The Women in Innovation Project Welcomes New Entrepreneurs in Its 8th Year
Applications for the “Women in Innovation” project, organized under the leadership of the Women and Democracy Foundation (KADEM), have begun. “This year, the project is being held for the eighth time, with the aim of supporting women entrepreneurs.”
The project, launched by KADEM in collaboration with TÜBİTAK, Marmara Teknokent, Yıldız Teknopark, Technology Development Zone, KOSGEB, the Technology Transfer Office, Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum, Fonangels, KAGİDER, Istanbul Teknopark, Startup Centrum, TT Ventures, Halk Yatırım, Albaraka Garaj, and APY Ventures, is open for applications from women entrepreneurs between May 29 and July 12, 2024.
The primary goal of the project is to support women’s entrepreneurship by guiding women in transforming their innovative ideas and projects into ventures with high employment potential.
TRAINING FOR 30 WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS
At the end of the initial application process, 30 women entrepreneurs who qualify to attend the camp based on the evaluations of the judging panel will receive comprehensive training over one week, including mentorship and sharing of experiences.
During the camp held from September 15 to 22, alongside the award ceremony, 30 women entrepreneurs who have passed the preliminary rounds will receive training on various topics such as Entrepreneurship Ecosystem and Start-Up Analysis, Project Management and Cost Analysis, Business Plan Preparation, Brand Strategies, Marketing Principles, Business and Commercial Law, Patent and Trademark Registration, Effective Communication Techniques, and Design Thinking, Investor Relations, and Growth Strategies.
Women entrepreneurs graduating from the camp will have opportunities such as meeting investors, engaging with corporate firms, networking, and participating in national and international events.
A TOTAL OF 1 MILLION TURKISH LIRAS WILL BE AWARDED TO 6 ENTREPRENEURS
At the end of the camp, based on evaluations by the judging panel, 6 successful entrepreneur candidates will receive a monetary prize if they meet the specified conditions within one year.

Finalist Awards:
- Third Place Award: 100,000 TRY
- Second Place Award: 175,000 TRY
- First Place Award: 225,000 TRY
Additionally, the first-place winner will receive support to participate in one of the internationally significant entrepreneurship events (such as Web Summit, Slush, CES, etc.).

Total Prize for the 6 Camp Finalists in Two Categories: 1 Million TRY
Since its inception in 2015, the Women in Innovation project has received applications from over 2,000 women entrepreneurs. More than 200 women entrepreneurs have participated in our innovation camps. Among the participants who made it to the finals at the camps, 36 women entrepreneurs received awards and certificates. Out of these, 16 have established their own companies and 6 have secured investments. They have won awards in national and international competitions and achieved significant success in various sectors.
