We held a workshop on Law No. 6284 on the Protection of the Family and Prevention of Violence Against Women in Istanbul with volunteer legal professionals from all over Türkiye.

During our workshop, we addressed several topics, including:

• Proper understanding of Law No. 6284
• The pros and cons of the law
• Problems in accessing justice
• The nature, variety, and application issues of protective and preventive measures
• Evaluations regarding the role of Violence Prevention and Monitoring Centers in law enforcement
• Collaboration, coordination, and the formation of possible new structures
