A workshop was held on 23 January 2014 led by KADEM to promote the “Campaign Against Child Marriages.” At our workshop “Campaign Against Early and Forced Marriages”, Dr. Askın Asan, Deputy Minister of Family and Social Policies, explained in a presentation the legal and socio-cultural aspects of the issue of early and forced marriages and discussed the strategies that are to be pursued by the Ministry. Professor of Theology Rıza Savas, from Dokuz Eylül University, contributed to the workshop by shedding light on the religious aspect of the issue.

On 13 February 2014, the “2nd NGO Communication Networking Workshop” was hosted by KADEM, emphasizing the importance of solidarity in the movements and activities aimed at women. In the workshop, the present situation of existing women’s NGOs was also discussed.
